The focus of my research is in the area of structural strengthening and rehabilitation with advanced composite materials.  This includes research relating to the use of high modulus carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) materials for strengthening of steel structures, at North Carolina State University.  I have also conducted research on the shear strengthening of full-scale prestressed AASHTO girders and large-scale reinforced concrete beams with CFRP materials, over the course of my studies at the University of Manitoba.

The link on the left of the page includes my current and future research interests, research projects I have been involved with, my educational background, publications, contact information and any downloads that I have made available.  This download section includes a movie showing the rupture of the high modulus CFRP strips used for strengthening a steel-concrete composite beam tested at the Constructed Facilities Laboratory (CFL) located at North Carolina State University.
